I watched the movie The Boat that Rocked and I can't believe how good this movie is, really had fun watching it. Not only entertaining but the story line was brilliant. I would highly recommend it, a MUST WATCH movie. From the beginning up until the end, no boring moments. The music they use on this movie also good though it's 60's era.
Story begins in 1966 where Radio Broadcasting Rock and Roll radio station which last for only 2hrs, imagine that. But they formed a group of DJ's and establish Radio Rock where they are broadcasting in a big ship. Radio Rock brings entertainment to the UK 24 hrs a day hence why lots of people are tuning to it. The story involves sex (lots of it and nudity as well), drugs and alcohol. Bill Nighy's performance really good as Quentin, the "boss" of Radio Rock. I almost did not recognise Kenneth Brannagh, his character is also good as Minister Dormandy who wants to shut Radio Rock off the air. Even Nick Frost's character Dave who is one of the DJ is really funny and he is very cool despite of the heavy baggage:)
I also like the character who plays Carl (Tom Sturridge) man he's a cutie! In case Robert Pattinson will resign to play Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, he'll be the next perfect Edward Cullen hehehe...
I feel sorry for the character of Chris O'Dowd who was ditched by his bride after 17hrs of being married because then wife only married him to get into the boat and be with Rhys Ifan's character Gavin. Almost got me teary-eyed:(
The rest of characters in this movie really played their part really well. Two thumbs up for this movie!
