The New Normal Recap 9/11/12 "Sofa's Choice"

Last night's premiere of The New Normal introduced us David and Bryan, a gay couple hoping to start a family and Goldie, their would-be surrogate mother who comes with some heavy baggage (including an eight year-old daughter and a Nana, who's prejudice against pretty much everyone other than herself has us thinking Sue Sylvester isn't so bad after all). The cliff-hanger from last night was whether Goldie's pee test turned up positive (not exactly a heart-stopping ending as without a baby, there's really no show).
At the end of tonight's episode we find out that a bun is definitely in her oven but that doesn't mean the road to parenthood can't start a bit early. Shania, Goldie's daughter, has a small psychotic break this episode after watching Grey Gardens and inhabiting the persona of Little Edie. Her southern accent and badly placed head-scarf prompt Goldie to start rethinking her move to the West Coast and Nana to start the offensive against the gays, after setting up house in the nearest Best Western of course. --- Start WP Socializer Plugin - Sharethis Button -->...
