The Proposal surpasses box office expectations

People just wanted to see naked Ryan Reynolds, that's it.

The Proposal that opened this weekend surpassed all possible expectations and topped the North American box office overthrowing the two-week leader, The Hangover.

The Proposal brought $34.1 million over this weekend and became the best opening movie for the leading star, Sandra Bullock. Her previous record, 2007 Premonition, only made $17.6 million during the opening weekend.
