The Scene That Was Written For Shatner in the new Star Trek Film!

The writers of the new star trek have just revealed that in an early draft of the film's script, the series' original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, was to make a cameo!

"We did write a Shatner scene," writer Roberto Orci explains. "And we were ultimately split internally. We didn't want it to be a gimmick; we wanted to really bring him back in the right way."

Orci's writing partner, Alex Kurtzman, reveals the set up:
