The Twilight Saga Has The World Talking - Why?

Why are people of every age and background talking about the Twilight Series? While it is a very intimate first person narrative love story that appeals to a broad audience, is there more to it than that? The book offers two views about sex and faith. Edward wants to abstain and wait for marriage, Bella wants to give in to her impulses and marriage is not appealing to her. Edward fears that Bella will lose her soul if she becomes a vampire. Bella is not sure about her faith or that she even has a soul. She does not consider the permanent choice she is making about her fate an issue. Bella only knows that she wants to be with Edward forever. Edward agonizes over being separated from God forever and does not want to be the one who makes Bella end up with the same fate. It explores sexuality and redemption as well. Twilight deals with heavy stuff and is so much deeper than a vampire movie with a cute guy and action. The Twilight series does not preach Christian, Catholic or Mormon ideology. It just subtly explores and opens for consideration deep issues like faith, compassion, forgiveness, redemption, immortality and sexuality suitable for teens on up.
Rob Pattinson does not push his beliefs and just wants to make good movies. He has survived an incredibly difficult two years of personal attacks on his character. He made the mistake of being open and mentioned what he believes. *see interviews. He does not want his life to become as he said "a cartoon or to be a caricature" so now he says very little in interviews and is no longer as unscripted in interviews.
Rob candidly expressed very normal, moral,romantic and traditional values in the fall of 2008. Immediately he was accused of being gay, having many girls, his face was put on every gossip magazine, wild accusations were made about him, unfounded rumors were spread and his loved ones were hurt when he was reported dead of an overdose by the gossip rags. Rob was harassed by the paparazzi and mocked about his faith.The blogs went overboard to upload bogus photos and to ruin his reputation. He became a houseshold name virtually over night.
He became a target of the far left just by being a nice guy. This is wrong and twisted.
taylor lautner has suddenly been accused of being gay too after it was mentioned that he is a wholesome, well spoken young man by Chris Weitz, the director of New Moon. Hollywood does not care much for Taylor Swift for the same reason. She is a girl of morals and faith.The incident with Kanye West was quickly excused but would not have been if someone had treated Beyonce the same way. It would have been in the news for months. The bias main stream media does not report the death toll in Iraq now that Obama is in charge of the war. The media's agenda is far more dangerous than an agenda to return to the values and principles that shaped our country.
There is a reason that the gossip pushers went so overboard on Rob and printed libelous things about the young man. They want the nice Catholic boy to be humiliated, ruined and "fall from grace". It helps their cause of removing morals, decency and faith. If that can be achieved, it is easier to install faith and dependency in the government NOT God. Our nation was founded and built for a just and moral people. It was structured as a republic and a democracy where the people governed the few not the few controlled the people.
There is a struggle between traditional and progressive agendas going on right now in America. "Twilight Fever" happened at this crucial time in our nation's history for a reason. This saga exploded when it did to help us define our differences. It also gives us an opportunity to recall how our country was before it changed so much and remember what our Founding Fathers had in mind when they drafted the Constitution.
Why does the far left think the power of special interests' (teachers, unions, lawyers, illegal aliens, Socialists, Communists,pro abortion groups etc.) and their control on Washington is not dangerous, but the voice and influence of religious, moral, over-taxed, patriotic, traditional tax paying citizens is?
We each have a choice to make. Stand by and continue to watch the very morals and principles that made our country great be eroded by the liberal agenda, or stand up for truth, decency, morals and traditional values.
Our nation is about to experience a reawakening and rebirth of the very values that made America great.
