Variety reports that Oscar-winning The King's Speech director Tom Hooper is in talks to direct a big screen adaptation of the musical "Les Mirables" for Universal Pictures.The musical is based on the Victor Hugo novel, which focuses on the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.Cameron Mackintosh, who produced the musical's original British stage run, will produce along with Working Title's Tim Bevan and ...
