HOLLYWOOD - Trans-leabian poet Alysyn Bourque kicked off her new book, illustrated by the 'Empress of Erotic Art' Nancy Peach, at a pre-release party tonight.
Bourque arrived confident at the pre-release party, organized by her publicist Nia Griffith.
Bourque wore a Jovani designed dress, with a diamond braclet on loan from Tiffany & Co. She wore sleeve gloves and a smile all her own.
Bourque arrived to promote the pre-release of her first collection of poetry, 'BLACKLIGHT CHRONICLES' and struck a pose for photographers as she said "Only in America".
Bourque said she could not have accomplished this task without The Help and support of Nancy Peach, an erotic artist who illustrated the book through her fine, erotic and sensual art.
"She captured my word in a visual sense", said Bourque, "I don't know another artist that could have understood my words so well as to put a face on it. Nancy did. She is, without a doubt, 'Empress of Erotic Art'.
Bourque left Hollywood to spend a few weeks with her family. She raises two children, a son and a daughter.
"They are why I am", she said of her children.
Bourque said the pre-release party was a total surprise to her, because her publicist arranged it on a last moment notice.
"I had no idea", Bourque said, "But Nia said we have to do this tonight and when I got there I was shocked. I'm not a person very comfortable with people in crowds or surprises. This was well done".
The pre-release party was held at a private residence in Hollywood and Bourque is planning on heading to Santa Cruz in April for a poetry reading and book signing with Nancy Peach. Bourque and Peach are also planning another tour in August, according to a spokesperson for the erotic duo.
