Walmart Employee Killed In Shopper Stampede

An Walmart employee in Valley Stream, N.Y. was killed yesterday in what is being described as a stampede of approximately 2000 eager shoppers trying to get those after Thanksgiving bargains. The crowd of shoppers plowed through the doors as he attempted to open them at around 5am, Friday morning.

The employee was apparently knocked down by the force of the shoppers and was unable to get up. Shoppers continued to walk over him. Store employees reportedly tried to get to the man who has been identified as Jdimytai Damour, 34, of Queens. They were unable to get through the mob of eager shoppers.
