Weekend Box Office: DARK NIGHT

It's been a dark beginning for any movie going up against The Dark Knight as Batman and Joker continue to dazzle audiences worldwide. So far the talley is close to $400M and Batman is certain to be the biggest moving of the summer.





I'm sure some of you are probably sick of hearing about the The Dark Knight, but the show must go on and so I will report the numbers:





1. THE DARK NIGHT - $43,800,000 - Warner Bros


2. THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR - $42,450,000 - Universal


3. STEP BROTHERS - $16,300,000 - Sony


4. MAMA MIA! - $13,121,000 - Universal


5. JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH - $6,875,000 - New Line





So even though Mummy didn't come close and to stellar success, at least it Brendon Fraiser has two movies in top ten: Mummy and Journey. But he won't catch up to Christian Bale anytime soon. That's for sure.
