VI of Cups
Description:
The Six of Cups is a reminder that by giving of ourselves, we also
receive. There is a certain generosity associated with this card. More
than anything, the Six of Cups is a reminder that happiness can come
from many sources, but the strongest and most important source is from
within. This card can be associated with children or childhood and the
pleasures of youth. Playfulness, kindness, and innocence are all
sources of energy and well-being. Reflection on motivation is also
called into play. This card can also prompt to one choose the right
path rather than the selfish one. Reversed, the Six of Cups indicates
that outside sources are the main focus for a sense of well-being and
happiness. Rather than realizing that such things come from within, one
is engaged in the endless loop of looking for others and circumstances
to bring joy. It is a time to do a great deal of soul-searching, and to
find the means to bring the happiness sought into life by one's own
means.
