Woman runs down cousin over denied Facebook friend request

A denied Facebook friend request led a woman to run her cousin down twice in a minivan. The attack stemmed from a man who accepted the friend request of the suspect but not the victim.

Melanie Spanopoulos left her cousin Giselle Penagos lying helpless in the middle of a busy road in freezing temperatures after her Facebook-fueled assault.

Penagos, 21, required emergency surgery on Monday to fix a broken leg and shattered pelvis after the melee over an internet Casanova.
