LOS ANGELES - NOVEMBER 6: Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus joins Hollywood writers as they picket outside the set of 'Desperate Housewives' on the second day of the strike following a break-down in talks between the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers November 6, 2007 in Los Angeles, California. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who is a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member, is picketing with the writers of her current show, 'the new adventures of old christine' which has ended production as a result of the strike. Striking are 12,000 WGA union members for the first time since 1988 when a 22-week walkout cost the entertainment industry an estimated $500 million. The industry cost of this strike could reach one billion.
